Men’s Club: April 2022 News

The Men’s Club held two interesting and well attended meetings last month. On March 1, a quorum was present, so President John Yocca took the opportunity to conduct elections. John Yocca as President, and Eric Eckes as Treasurer, were unanimously confirmed to serve the 2022 term. Yours truly Tim Moore’s service as Secretary was confirmed for the remainder of 2022 and Marine Corp veteran and Club member John Gabbard was enthusiastically elected as our new Vice President. Thank you for your service, John, and thank you for serving our Club.

Next our own CW Gruenig introduced the morning’s speakers, all associated with Fish Tank Capo, an event destination facility in Capo Beach. The speakers were Larry Robinson, Douglas Sieloff, and Dan Ocampo. Their mission is to transform their warehouse-size space into whatever you want it to be for a wedding, retirement party, bar mitzvah, or maybe a graduation party. Mr. Robinson is the head honcho. Mr. Ocampo’s skills are in the tech field, and he can use Fish Tank’s extensive equipment to transform the interior space into just about anything you can imagine. A speakeasy? You bet. A tropical paradise? No problem. Mr. Sieloff, who spent much of his youth living in Niguel Shores and his adult life working in and managing fine dining establishments, is the food and beverage guy. Check them out at their website, fishtankcapo. com. Our second meeting of the month, on March 15, featured guest speaker Marshall Reddick and his associate who told us everything we needed to know about crypto currency.

The Men’s club will meet twice this month. On April 5, we will hear from William Cunningham about life as crew aboard a U.S. Coastguard Tall Ship, and on April 19 our pro- gram is about five-times Navy Cross Submariner Admiral Roy M. Davenport. The late admiral’s son-in-law, CW Gruenig, will be our speaker.

If you are already a member of the Men’s club, don’t forget your $25 annual 2022 dues are now due. If you are not yet a member, please be our guest at one of the meetings this
month. Breakfast is on us!
