Maintenance Committee: May 2021

On our way to normal again!
Spring is here with a new beginning in more ways than one. DID YOU KNOW? Of those Americans 65 and older, 78% have received at least one COVID dose, and 61% are fully vaccinated. Over 120 million vaccines have been administered. 8.2 million shots as of this writing! We are well on our way, with those of us in the 50 and over group getting at least our first, and many fully vaccinated. We are now vaccinating those 16 and up and at this rate
should be well on our way to some normalcy. Getting ready!
With that in mind, the Maintenance staff is working to ready all our great amenities for a return to the fun of our
usual spring and summer months. From new benches, trash cans and bark on the tot-lot in the community park to maintenance and repairs on the pool and spa, and even repair to the kitchen in the clubhouse. We should have it all ready when the time comes for reopening.
At our beloved Bluff, watch for some new benches and trash cans coming soon as well as the prepping of our almost new BBQ that took an unrequested year off, I am sure we are all ready for a fun get together soon. Behind the scenes, the usual drab HVAC, refrigerator, gate battery back-up, and other mechanical work is going on—but I can’t help thinking about all the fun stuff awaiting us soon.
Here’s to greeting each other soon with a hug and a handshake and who knows maybe seeing each other’s smiles! We will all enjoy and appreciate our Niguel Shores “extremely well-maintained community” a little more as we spring back.
