Maintenance Committee: December 2019 News

We hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving with family
and friends, whether you traveled or were able to enjoy the holiday in our wonderful community. If you are a swimmer or enjoy the spa, you are undoubtedly happy to find the pool and spa open again after the Orange County Health Department mandated maintenance closure.
It has been a busy year for the Maintenance Committee and especially the Niguel Shores Maintenance Staff. There are far too many projects to mention them all, from ongo- ing street repairs planned to minimize traffic inconvenience, to the constant sidewalk repairs that keep them even and smooth. We now have new and repaired picnic benches at the bluff—and who didn’t love playing master chef on our beautiful new BBQ over the summer? We placed new furni- ture in the clubhouse lobby, patio, and around the pool. And what about our new lighted street signs! Yes, many projects and more, too many to mention them all!
It was with great regret that we lost one of our long-time committee members, Jack Christensen, who resigned as Chairman so that he and his wife, Ann, could move to their new home in Rancho Mission Viejo. It’s good to see him joining us at the Men’s Club Breakfast from time to time though. Thanks, Jack. We were lucky to have such a great volunteer as you on our committee for so long. We will miss your leadership!
As we head into the new year. the Maintenance Committee would like to give a well-deserved cheer to our Maintenance Staff for all their hard work. They are George Cooley, Dave Smith, Tom Shimkus, Ray Russomanno and Manny Pantoja. All the great ideas in the world would not happen

Many thanks for helping us keep Niguel Shores an “extremely well-maintained community.”
Happy Holidays!
