Traffic & Safety Committee: August 2022

Lock it, or loose it!

August is normally a period where the rate of thefts from vehicles starts to escalate. We have been very fortunate that reports of thefts from our vehicles have been almost non-existent during recent months. This may well be because “Car Clouts” often don’t attack locked vehicles as stiffer penalties exist for those that are caught. Obviously, it is not wise to ever leave anything of value inside a parked unattended vehicle. Unless you want to tempt fate, lock that car or truck.

New Post Commander

After a careful screening process, Mr. Cole Miles has been selected to become our new Post Commander. Under the direction of our staff, he will oversee and supervise the performance of our gate attendants and mobile patrols.
After his military service, Cole moved close by and soon was working for Securitas and assigned to Niguel Shores. Because he did not have to spend a lot of time commuting, he was able to cover personnel shortages and work overtime shifts whenever necessary. Within a short period, he learned the full range of responsibilities per- formed by our Securitas personnel. He has a mature military bearing and appears comfortable leading and directing his patrol team here in the Shores. We all wish you the best, Cole.
