Page Turners Book Club: The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles

Page Turners resumes its regular monthly meeting schedule (September through June) this month with a discussion of The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles. Our members suggest books and then vote for their favorites. The nine books with the most votes are the ones we read. The Lincoln Highway was the highest vote-getter by far, so that is the first to be read. Fans of Amor Towles will enjoy his multilayered literary styling, new settings, and four—make that five—interesting young characters who embark on an unusual road trip.
I anticipate a lively, heated discussion about the ending of this novel. More about the unexpected ending can be found online. (It’s a real spoiler so don’t go looking for it until you have finished the book!)
Page Turners book club consists of three groups of approximately 10 members each. One group meets on the fourth Monday afternoon of the month and the other two groups meet the fourth Thursday afternoon. New members are always welcome. For information on the Thurs- day groups, please contact Steve and Ann Morris at samwrsi@cox.net and for the Monday group, contact me at
fozimec@cox.net.
