Women’s Golf: October 2018 News

The Niguel Shores lady golfers met on September 10 at The Ranch for a 9-hole round. Vice President Irene McDonald chaired the meeting. We welcomed Linda Ross and hope to see her at future meetings as a Social member.
Other Social members attending were Joanie Beyer and Chris Beaver with her daughter Linda. Lee Sweeney gave a Treasurer’s report and Hospitality Secretary Joanie Beyer spoke about the upcoming Christmas Luncheon, December 10 at The Fountains.
Our September birthdays include Pam Strayer, whom we’re expecting back from Maine in November, and Irene McDonald, to whom we are all grateful for making our tee times and keeping our golf group going. Happy birthday, ladies!
Only three golfers came out to play—Judy Boitano, Catriona Sigsby and Irene McDonald. Catriona won low score with 40. Judy won low putts with 17 and also had longest drive. Our other regular golfers were on vacation, with President Marlene Lynch out of town, Julie Patton in New England, and Cindy Carmichael in Morocco.
Our next game will be October 8. Please contact Irene if you wish to have your name added to the roster (949) 481-3035.

HERE IS A SMART BLONDE JOKE TO BRING A SMILE UNTIL OUR NEXT GOLF OUTING:
A blonde and a lawyer sat next to each other on a plane. To pass the time the lawyer said, “Here’s a game. You ask a question and if I answer wrong, I will give you $50.00. Then I ask a question and if you answer wrong you pay me $5.” The blonde said, “It’s a deal.”
The lawyer asked, “What is the distance from the earth to the moon?”
She shook her head and handed him $5. Then she asked him, “What goes up a hill with four legs and comes down with five?” He pulled out his laptop to search the answer, but found nothing. Then he texted his friends. Still no answer. He gave up and handed her $50. “So, what is the answer?” he asked.
She shook her head and handed him $5, saying, “I don’t know, but I just made $40 playing your game.”
