MEN’S GOLF
The Men Golf Club enjoyed its annual holiday putting
contest and brunch at Talega Golf Club on December
- This is a great event where non-golfers get a chance to show off their putting skills with some very skilled and competitive golfers. Talega outdid itself with a very challenging layout that tested even the best putters. At the brunch that followed, prizes were awarded to everyone who competed. We also presented our Golfer of the Year, Bob Gutknecht, with the coveted WHITE JACKET, which goes to a member who has made a significant contribution to the club. For many years
Bob has arranged tee times and groupings for everyone on the Tuesdays following the Men’s Club meetings—a difficult job. We congratulate Bob on his contributions and on still being as deadly on
the course as ever.
We will open up 2019 on January 15 at Talega, followed by Oak Creek and Strawberry Farms.
