On July 12 we had our monthly tournament at Oak Creek Golf Club in Irvine. This is our 1st tournament at Oak Creek and the course is beautiful and in great shape. We had 16 competitive golfers signed up and the game played was Tin Whistle. This is a great format where each player is award 1 point for a plus 1 over net par, 2 points for net par, 3 points for a net birdie, and 4 points for a net eagle.
First Place: Roy Dohner, Bob Russell, Chris Dolkas, and John Lawton with a total of 149 points
Second Place: Dennis Rosene, Mike Roberts, John Shaw, and Ron Foster with a total of 148 points
Third Place: Kent Wellbrock, Bill Verbrugge, Pat Zahner, and John Torok with a total of 144 points
Fourth Place: Rick Palmer, Dick Grabham, Don Duffer, and Morry Dohner with a total of 140 points
Closest to the pin on hole #3 Dennis Rosene and on hole #17 Morry Dohner
The next tournament will be August 9.
Trevino On Getting Older
