Luncheon: The luncheon will be on Thursday, November 14 in the ClubHouse at 12:00 noon. You will receive an invitation by e-mail on November 7 and are asked to RSVP by Sunday, November 10. Those attending will be informed whether or not it is their turn to bring a salad.
Program: November is going to be Volunteer Month for the Women’s Club. There will be a panel of women leaders of volunteer organizations to tell us about the admirable work their groups do and, if and how we can help. Joni Ooms will speak about her work at Ronald McDonald House at CHOC Mission Hospital, Barbara Anderson will tell us thelatest about the Friends of the Library and its Bookstore and
Ladeshia Goubert will talk about the wonderful iHope organization that works with local churches to provide food and shelter for homeless people in our community. Don’t miss these speakers and their inspiring stories.
New Members: You see in the accompanying photograph three new members of the Women’s Club: Janet Mackaig, Grace Glatt and Kathy Samuel. . Diane Hearne and Gloria Weintraub, the New Member Welcoming Committee entertained at Diane’s home the three new members in the photograph. In addition to those pictured, other new members are: Lydia Alston, Marge Haber, Doris Karras, Jane Elizabeth Olson and Mary Solomon.
