Members met at the home of Lachsman Sehgal on July 17 to discuss Swerve by Stephen Greenblatt—his book about the latent discovery of the epic poem, On the Nature of Things, by the Roman philosopher, Lucretius, and its influence upon Renaissance thinking.
The next meeting will be on August 21 at the home of Norton Schwartz to discuss The Price of Inequality: How Today’s Divided Society Endangers Our Future by the Nobel Prize winning economist, Joseph Steiglitz. Meeting time is 1:30 p.m.
