Women’s Club Luncheon – Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 12:00

It’s November already! The Women’s Club luncheon will be on the 8th at noon in the ClubHouse and our fitting and timely speaker will be Jane Horlings, professor of Biological Sciences at Saddleback College where some of her classes are offered online.

You can find lots about her online—a hundred things she likes, her Twitter and Facebook entries and read her teacher ratings—students say she is well organized, knows her subject very well, has high standards with a big workload but, is a great teacher. Technology Demystified is the subject of her talk and that, we all need!

Your luncheon invitation will arrive by e-mail on Thursday, November 1. Please reply by 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 4. Those attending will be notified if they are to bring a salad.

A note on some changes of officers and committee chairs: President Lyn Long has rejoined the work force and Nancy Tinnes and Karla Sanders, both past club presidents, have agreed to take her place as co-presidents for the remainder of the year. Thank you, Lyn, for taking over as president last year when Bev Macke left and again for your work this year as well and best wishes for your new endeavors.

Our new treasurer is Irene Hopson and Barbara Milner has agreed to become secretary to replace Karla Sanders who was “acting.” New Committee Chairs are as follows: Decorations — Suzanne Enis and Marilyn Moon. Outside Activities — Judy Barry. Holiday Party— Suzanne Enis and Nancy Tinnes.

Many thanks to all for accepting these responsibilities and helping to continue our Womens Club as the congenial and welcoming club that we all enjoy.

—Mary Crowl
