Women’s Golf – May 2012

Lovely Spring day…pleasant round of golf…putting them together on a Fun-Day with Niguel Shores Women’s Golf group…priceless! In April, these golfers had an especially fine day: Low gross score for the day, Val Mitchell; Low net score for the day, Linda Ross; Closest shot to the pin on #8, Linda Ross; Longest drive on #9, Val Mitchell (yep, a mighty fine day for that duo); Birdies and Chip-ins, Lee Sweeney, Anne Greenwood, Helena Keeshen, and India Rouse. The foursome, most successful in keeping their pink golf ball out of the creek, and turning in the lowest team score for the game of the day, was Lee Sweeney, Marge Foster, Pam Strayer and Barbara Brabeck.

The next Fun-Day will take place on Monday, May 14. The golf captains for the day are Chris Beaver, 493-7430, and Linda Ross, 248-3408. You may contact either one to be added to the list of players. Guests and prospective members are always welcome. Call at least one week in advance. Remember to save the date of July 9 for the Memorial Tournament and luncheon at Gemmell’s to follow.
