Page Turner’s Book Club: October 2021
This month’s selection is the historical fiction novel Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell. This very popular book explores the lives of Shakespeare, his wife Anne Hathaway (in the book called Agnes), and their children. Garden Club: October 2021
To kick off the holiday season, our club will take a field trip to Roger’s Gardens on Tuesday, October 19. Their garden shop will be decorated with festive Christmas trees, special ornaments, and holiday plants and bulbs available for purchase. At the Men’s Club meeting on September 7, I had the honor of interviewing 100-year-old Dudley F. Gladding, World War II Bomber Pilot. Dudley flew the B-24 Bomber off the small Island of Angaur in the island nation of Palau.
