Women’s Club: January 2022

HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM THE NIGUEL SHORES WOMEN’S CLUB!

The Women’s Club meets monthly for lunch and wonderful speakers, plus we have delightful out- side activities, fun and friendship. Please contact Jennifer Paige jopaige@aol.com or Judi Palladino twopalls@yahoo. com for more information about membership with NSWC.
We welcome new members who joined the club since September 2021: Julie Chis, Sara Cowdrey, Pam Fle- sner, Catherine Hallett, Adrienne Hunter, Laura Pentz, Melinda Samsel, Meg Schuler, Monica Singer, Janice
Stauffer, Sandi Stauffer, Karen Styles, Dot Wall Karen Ward, Linda Watts, Glenda Wilson, and Elsa Yocca.
All interested Niguel Shores’ ladies are invited to our next Luncheon Meeting at Noon on Thursday, January 13. Our fea- tured speaker will be Tom Blake who writes columns of interest for
Seniors in the Dana Point Times, and the Capistrano Dispatch. He also publishes the website onlifeandloveafter50.com and newsletter to help seniors combat fraud, avoid romance scams, keep open minds, and add variety to their social routines. Please join us to hear from this delightful South Orange County writer and speaker.
At our December Holiday Party co-hosted with the Men’s Club, members and guests found the Club- house transformed into a Winter Wonderland with fra- grant boughs of pine, birch, and fir, a decorated tree, lighted garlands, carved wooden deer and forest animal figures, and cocktail tables covered in holiday colors with buffalo check trim—all setting the mood for a joy- ous party. Three center tables held hearty appetizers, the club hosts poured generously at the wine and beer bar, and a buffet of decadent desserts topped it all off. Thank you to our Board officers, President Sharon Stewart, Vice President Laurel Yocca, Secretary Terry Link, and Treasurer Cathy Tyson as well as Holiday Party Chairs Suzanne Enis and Terry Link for a fabulous event! At the party, we collected toys and gift cards for the Marine Children at Camp Pendleton. The overflowing boxes of toys were picked up by Sonia Torres of the Marine Corps League and delivered to the Base. Thank you to the members of Niguel Shores Women’s and Men’s Clubs for your generous donations!
As our December Outside Activity, we walked up the beautifully lit driveway of the Ritz Carlton to view the 40-foot tree and decorations and then went inside for drinks and appetizers. For the January Outside Activity, please see the announcement on this page.
The Women’s Club has marvelous plans for 2022. Along with our monthly luncheons and speakers, we look forward to these special events:
■ April 14 – Annual Fashion Show and Boxed Luncheon
■ May 20 – Home Tour and Luncheon
■ June 9 – June Tea catered by The Tea House on Los Rios
