COMMUNICATION COMMITTEE: October Reminders

Recently several residents have asked us about a publication they receive in the U.S. Mail promoting itself as a Niguel Shores community newsletter, yet coming from an outside source. We realize this can be confusing, so we’d like to clarify. The outside publication many of you receive in the U.S. Mail is not coming from Niguel Shores. It is a marketing magazine selling advertising space, and the company that produces the publication is based out of state.
On the other hand, the Seashore News comes from our Niguel Shores Community Association. Our writers, photographers and the wonderful team who distribute the Sea- shore News to your door every month are all volunteers working for the good of our community. They receive no pay, and we keep our publication within a budget so our newsletter does not cost homeowners anything.

We choose not to spend our Association funds (essentially your money) on glossy photos or professionally paid writers. Instead, the people who create the Seashore News are your neighbors—those you breakfast with at the Men’s Club, lunch with at the Women’s Club, or enjoy at the Gar- den Club, Bridge Club, Book Club, Tennis, Pool, or Pickleball. They are the people you meet when you are out walking your dogs or watching the sunset at the Bluff.

Our Mission on the NSCA Communication Committee is the same as it has been for over 50 years: Through the Seashore News and the NSCA website, we keep you updated on what’s happening in Niguel Shores.
We also love writing about you in our long-running columns Meet Your Neighbor, Accolades, and Spotlight, as well as honoring the accomplishments and life events of you and your family, and (of course) your pets.
For that reason, we are always happy when you share your stories with us or let us know any interesting community happenings or send us news you would like to share. Email us at seashorenews@hotmail.com. We always have space for you, our neighbors, in the Seashore News.
