Maintenance Committee: October 2022

Now that Halloween festivities are past us and (hopefully) your candy and sugar hangover is fading, it is time to start the holiday planning. Here are some community maintenance updates and a look at what is coming before year’s end.

Projects Underway or Completed

■ Curbs – A homeowner requested that the curbs at both Garibaldi and Manta gates were starting to look faded and peeling. While this type of work is normally done along with street repairs, repainting these areas now rather than waiting was approved and the work should be completed soon.

■ Monitors – Surveillance monitors have been failing in both the Gate House and the Office for some time. The Board approved replacement, and new monitors have been installed in both locations.

■ Poles – The 15 Mushroom Street Light Poles slated for replacement for 2022 have been completed and a 2023 plan is being formulated.

■ Pool – Semi-annual pool maintenance is complete so the swimming and splashing has resumed.

Supply Chain Issues

Haven’t we all heard that before? Several pending proj- ects around the Shores have fallen victim. The Beach Bluff cameras that have been approved are backordered, as are the replacement portable picnic tables. The ice machine in the clubhouse kitchen is also awaiting replacement due to supply chain delays.

Submit a Request

Remember you can make a homeowner request to the Committee if you have any concerns you would like addressed and they will be reviewed at our next scheduled meeting. Forms are available online at the Niguel Shores website niguelshores.org. No need to wait for a Resident Roundtable or a Board meeting to have your request heard. We all want to keep Niguel Shores “the extremely well maintained community” it is!
