Women’s Club: July 2020 News

Blessed with a beautiful warm day, the Women’s Club held our End-of-Year Luncheon and Officer Installation at the Bluff on June 11. A picnic on the grass was definitely a contrast to the formal June Tea that usually is our tradition, but it was wonderful to gather and see familiar, smiling, healthy faces. We remembered to keep social distances with wearing masks optional. The luncheon theme was BYOLBC (Bring Your Own Lunch, Beverage, and Chair). Thank you to those who volunteered to oversee the tables, and cheers to the posi- tive ladies of our club who made this unique experience a truly enjoyable afternoon in keeping with our purpose of “fun, friendship, and service.”

New Officers: Parliamentarian Lydia Reese installed our 2020-2021 NSWC Officers: Co-Presidents, Terry Link and Sharon Stewart; Vice-President, Catherine Bitran; Trea- surer, Cathy Tyson; Secretary, Suki Hahn. Thank you, ladies, for your commitment and dedication to our club!

Outside Activities: Outside activities also reconvened last month. On June 18, we met at the Clubhouse and walked the Ritz Carlton view route down to the beach. On the way back, we stopped for a treat at the Beach Hut Deli to catch our breath and chat.
We hope to see you at one of our Outside Activities this summer. Remember, we all have the independent liberty to decide when we are ready to join in social gatherings. On July 16, we will visit Sherman Library and Gardens in Corona Del Mar to discover their beautiful flowers and botanical gardens. We will have lunch on site at the delicious Cafe’ Jardin. Watch your email for more information.

Special Note: All members are asked to volunteer on one of our Women’s Club committees. In the spirit of a community of active women, it is the responsibility of every member to be involved in at least one event or committee for the year. We need every member’s help in order to continue the won- derful events we plan every year. Please watch your email for a list of Committees and reply to one of the Committee Chairs on the list to volunteer.

Membership: We are now collecting $25 annual mem- bership dues for the 2020-2021 club year. We welcome all women residents of the Niguel Shores community. The Niguel Shores Women’s Club is non-partisan and non- sectarian with a diversity of ages and backgrounds.

We have wonderful monthly speakers at our luncheons and a calendar of special events such as our September Welcome Tea, December Holiday Party, April Fashion Show and May Home Tour. If you have not already done so, please mail your dues to our Membership Chairs, Jennifer Paige at 33541 Halyard or Judi Palladino at 23892 Coral Bay. Membership forms are available at the Office or online. The deadline for paying dues, if you want to be included in the NSWC Directory, is August 15.
HAPPY SUMMER!
