Joyeux Noel!—We greet the 2021 holiday season with an enthusiastic Joyeux Noel. As we celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, and other holidays of many faiths and cultures, we welcome the
sense of peace and joy that fills the air. Enjoying friends and family, festive decorations, sharing gifts, and celebrating spe- cial traditions add to the delightful flavor of the season.
Holiday Party—We are thrilled to invite members and guests to our Niguel Shores’ Women’s Club/Men’s Club Holiday Party to be held 5 to 8 p.m. on December 9 in the Clubhouse. Come and enjoy our beautiful Christmas tree, delicious appetizers and desserts, a sensational wine bar, cock- tail tables for gathering, and merry music. Please bring your favorite hearty appetizer to share. We look forward to seeing our jolly members and invited guests at this joyous evening!
Toy Collection—In the spirit and season of giving, we are asking you to donate a new unwrapped toy for Marine children. Let’s collect a plentiful lot of toys for the boys and girls and put them under the Christmas tree inside the Club- house on the night of the Holiday Party! There will also be a large container to collect toys in the Clubhouse lobby if you cannot make it to the party. All toys will be picked up at the party on December 9 by Marine representatives and driven down to the Base for distribution.
November Luncheon Meeting—Thanks to Commandant Pete Hammer and Outreach Chair Sonia Torres for speaking about ways the Marine Corps League assists men and women Marines of “The 2/1” and their families at Camp Pendleton. At our November meeting, as a Veterans Day tribute, we set up a “Missing Man Table” and placed patriotic centerpieces on luncheon tables to honor past and present members of the military.
December Outside Activity—We will walk over to the Ritz Carlton to view the specular 40-foot Christmas tree on the front drive. There is nothing quite like the joy of the holiday season at the Ritz Carlton. We will continue our festivities inside with no-host options for tea, wine, appetizers, or even dinner if you prefer. Hope you can join us on Friday, December 17. Cheers!
