Women’s Golf: September 2018 Update

The Niguel Shores lady golfers met on August 13 at The Ranch for a 9-hole round. After several days of warm weather, the temperature cooled a few degrees and we had a little breeze on some of the holes, so it was a pleasant morning for our five golfers. Judy Boitano, Val Mitchell, Irene McDonald, Catriona Sigsby and Cindy Carmichael played a fivesome with Catriona winning low score of 37, Val winning longest drive, and Judy and Val tying at 18 for low putts. We welcomed Cindy back after a short absence. She and her husband are off to Morocco for vacation, and India Rouse and husband are setting sail on a cruise. Julie and husband are in Hawaii (golfing). We wish them all safe and happy travels and look forward to their return.
President Marlene Lynch opened the meeting and welcomed our social members who are so faithful to lunch with us each month—Ceacy Johns, Chris Beaver and her lovely daughter Linda, Joanie Beyer, and Ruthie Stahl with her friend Michelle.
Marlene also thanked Lee Sweeney for her help as Treasurer, Brenda Tuckley for the Minutes, and Julie Patton for her articles in the Seashore News. And a big thank you to Irene McDonald who confirms the tee times each month, calls the golfers, and also makes our luncheon reservations.
Corresponding Secretary Chris announced the birthday girls for August–Liz Kelsch, Val Mitchell, and Lee Sweeney.
Happy birthday to our ladies. May you all be blessed with good health and enjoy every day!
Our next game is September 10. Please contact Irene if you wish to have your name added to the roster (949) 481-3035.
