Men’s Club: September 2017 Recap

On September 5, we enjoyed a spirited presentation from Josephine Lee, the third ranked Toastmaster speaker in the world.
A USC graduate and classical dancer, Ms Lee spoke about using her love of dance to form her own highly successful business providing custom-fitted dance shoes to ballet performers in the U.S. and internationally. The Roberts Team provided a delicious sausage, egg, and fruit breakfast.
President Bob Oakley opened our September 19 meeting with thanks to the Clark Team for the complete hot breakfast, and to C.W. for bringing us excellent speakers since 2014.
Then Dana Point Mayor Debra Lewis held our rapt attention speaking freely and answering questions about our city. She addressed city finances, fire and police services, development in the Lantern District, the growing problem of homelessness, and disposition of nuclear waste from San Onofre.
The Men’s Club invites all gentlemen in the Shores to join us for a great breakfast and program twice a month. We also host the annual Fourth of July community pancake breakfast, sponsor a scholarship fund, organize a day at Del Mar track, and hold other community events. Annual membership is $15.00, and breakfast is a nominal $3. Join us on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 8:00 a.m. in the Club House and meet your neighbors.
