Men’s Club: May News & Photos
May 7, 2025 By admin
The Men’s Club welcomed two engaging and informative speakers during the month of April. At our first meeting, representatives from the Orange County Fire Authority spoke about fire safety and preparedness. Members learned how rapidly fires can spread through a home, the importance of having a clear escape plan, and how to safely and effectively operate a fire extinguisher. The presentation was handson, and members had the opportunity to practice using a fire
extinguisher in a safe, controlled setting.
Later in the month, Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley joined us for an evening meeting and shared updates on County initiatives. She touched on regional infrastructure improvements, environmental protection efforts, and programs aimed at enhancing public safety and emergency response. Supervisor Foley also spent time answering thoughtful questions from the audience, sparking meaningful dialogue throughout the evening.
Looking ahead, our next meetings include:
■ May 6 (Breakfast, 8:00 AM) – Sharon Stewart will speak about practical guidelines for healthy living as we age. This is our Mother’s Day Celebration. All spouses and significant others are invited to attend.
■ May 20 – No Men’s Club Meeting (due to the HOA Annual Meeting and Election)
■ June 3 (Breakfast, 8:00 AM) – NSCA Board President Mark Russell will join us to share updates on community matters and planning initiatives.
■ June 17 (Evening Meeting, 6:00 PM) – Congressman Mike Levin will return to update us on federal issues and local matters. Spouses and guests are welcome.
We’re also looking forward to the Men’s Club 40th Annual Pancake Breakfast on the 4th of July, once again chaired by Men’s Club member Tim Williams. This beloved holiday tradition brings the community together in celebration
and spirit. All profits from the breakfast are donated to support scholarships for graduating Niguel Shores seniors. Tickets are available online beginning May 1 at pancakes.niguelshoresmensclub.org.
As always, we encourage all men in the community to attend our meetings. It’s a great way to stay informed, enjoy camaraderie, and be part of the vibrant life of Niguel Shores.
