HISTORICAL COMMITTEE
Professional Archivist—We are pleased that Sarena Underwood, the archivist from Dana Point Historical Society, has offered to advise us on handling and storing our collection of Niguel Shores documents, photos, and memorabilia. She reminds us that Niguel Shores History is a big part of Dana Point History.
New Club—Our group is in the process of changing from a committee into a club—the Niguel Shores Historical Club. This opens up greater involvement opportunities for everyone interested in Niguel Shores past, present, and future story. Watch for a mailing and announcements in this newsletter about club membership and participation in events related to our community’s past and ongoing history. Ground-breaking for the Niguel Shores development began more than 50 years ago, and there are photos, documents, artifacts, and memories that we must not lose as time passes. Membership in the Niguel Shores Historical Club will help preserve and share how Niguel Shores evolved into the community that we know today.
Fall Event—With the wonderful turnout for our Champagne Legacy Tea for longterm residents last spring, the Niguel Shores Historical Club is now planning an equally fine event for the fall to welcome new members and all resi-dents interested in Niguel Shores past and continuing history. Watch for future announcements.
