Garden Club: April 2026

GARDEN CLUB
April is “all hands on deck” for Garden Club members as we prepare for our Annual Plant Sale—and
this year we’re raising the bar once again.
New this year—Since the sale falls on Mother’s Day weekend, we’re opening a special Flower Shop on
the Clubhouse patio. You’ll find beautiful flower arrangements, gift plants in all shapes and
sizes, and gift cards—perfect for a last-minute Mother’s Day surprise.
A banner year for plants—Thanks to generous sup-port from local nurseries, we’ll have a wide
variety of healthy plants including vegetables, herbs, bedding plants, ferns, shrubs, hanging
baskets, and plenty of succulents and drought-tolerant California natives. Garden Club members have
also been busy propagating their favorite plants, so there will be something for every garden.
More than plants—We’ll also have a wonderful selec-tion of pots, garden ornaments, trellises,
vases, note cards, and other garden-related items. In particular, we’ve col-lected some beautiful
large patio pots from residents who have moved—perfect for refreshing patios and courtyards.
Shop early!—Doors open promptly at 9 a.m. and the best selection goes quickly. Prices are very
competitive—well below most local nurseries.
Proceeds from the plant sale help support our community and environmental efforts, including a
horticulture scholar-ship at Saddleback College, the Penny Pines Reforestation Program, and
sustainable agriculture initiatives at The Ecol-ogy Center, along with other conservation-focused
nonprofits across California.
We hope to see you there!
