Does It Need Approval?
■ Outdoor Televisions and Outdoor Sound Systems— These items are not considered to be permanent
structures and do not need formal approval from the AC. However, these items may become a nuisance
for neighbors depend- ing on where they are placed and how they are utilized. Neighbors that are
experiencing issues from the use of an outdoor television or outdoor sound system should report the
nuisance to the sheriff’s office as addressing this type of behavior falls under their authority.
■ Exterior Security Systems—The installation of a security system does not need approval from the
AC. Owners installing security systems must be aware of the current privacy laws regarding
recording and use of video footage.
Application Submittal, Review, and Response Times
The meeting dates and submittal deadlines are published in the calendar accompanying the
community news- letter every month. Response letters are emailed to the applicant the Friday after
the meeting. Responses will not be provided over the phone. However, if you have questions after
receiving your response, the Architectural Manager would be happy to assist you.
Consent Item Applications
Consent items are modifications that fall directly in line with the existing rules and do not
require formal discussion by the AC in a meeting. When possible, these applications will receive
advanced approval, but advanced approval is not guaranteed. In the event an advanced approval is
not possible, the application will be approved in a scheduled meeting as per the standard process.
