Page Turners: October 2025

Page Turners book club will be reading Broken Country by Clare Leslie Hall this month. I think the following is a good summation of the book: “A REESE’S BOOK CLUB PICK | A NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER.”
“Broken Country by Clare Leslie Hall is an unforgettable story of love, loss, and the choices that shape our lives … but it’s also a masterfully crafted mystery that will keep you guessing until the very last page. Seriously, that ending! I did not see it coming.” —Reese Witherspoon
Another reviewer had this to say: “This was not a favorite of mine, but I do feel it’s a good one for book clubs. There is a ton to discuss and analyze, especially with Beth’s decisions. So book clubs will have a good meeting with Broken Country. Again, I just want to warn it’s very tragic-focused. But if you didn’t love it like me, you’re not alone! Sometimes the big, buzzy books don’t work for us, and that’s okay too.”

Page Turners book club has approximately 35 members divided into three groups and each group reads the same book each month. With the very fair way the books are chosen we get to read a variety of genres catering to a wide range of literary tastes. If you would like more information and are thinking of joining a book club, please contact one of the coordinators, namely, Lisa Buchner at lisabuchner47@gmail.com, Steve and Ann Morris at samwrsi@cox.net, or myself at fozimec@cox.net. New members are always welcome.
