Niguel Shores History
Niguel Shores history covers more than 50 years, from groundbreaking in the late 1960s to our current greenbelts, recreational amenities, and 960 homes. We were here before Dana Point became a city, back when there were no plush hotels or convenient shopping plazas, when Crown Valley was open fields and farmland. Our growth into one of the most desirable communities on the coast is part of a rich history that should be preserved so all can appreciate this exceptional place where we live.
A group is forming to collect and organize a “History of Niguel Shores.” There will be an information meeting on July 30 at 10:00 a.m. in the Clubhouse for all who are interested. Longtime residents are especially encouraged to attend and contribute.
