May Luncheon
At our luncheon meeting on May 8, we look forward to welcoming Racheal McCabe and Austine Duru from Providence Mission Hospital as our guest speakers. Racheal McCabe, Executive Director of Philanthropy, plays a vital role building philanthropic partnerships. She works closely with volunteers as well as major and principal gift donors to support Mission Hospital’s commitment to compassionate, high-quality care. Joining her is Austine Duru, the Chief Mission Integration Officer. He is responsible for integrating the hospital’s mission, values, and identity into all aspects of operations. He helps cultivate a culture that inspires clinicians, caregivers, and leaders to bring their best to their work each day, We look forward to learning more about the meaningful work being done at Providence Mission Hospital and the impact it has on our community. Fabulous Fashion Show Women’s Club members gathered in April for the much anticipated annual fashion show, themed It’s a White Out Co-Chairs Sue Palmer and Cynthia Talley led the event with infectious enthusiasm. Fashions, modeled by our Women’s Club members, were coordinated by Lisa Henjum from White T Boutique.
A heartfelt “thank you” for orchestrating an unforgettable event goes to Sue and Cynthia and their incredible committee members Barbara Barrett, Renee Bowser, Nancy Capelli, Sheryl Cooper, Diane Dale, Kathleen Girvetz, Sandy Lindstrom, Terry Link, Rosann McLaughlin, Randa Memo, Carol Pontremoli, Heather Props, Rebecca Russell, Melinda Samsel, Stacie Scifres, Cathy Sherline, and Denise Williams-Sobolik. Co-chair Cynthia said, “Sue and I had an amazing committee and without their willingness to help with most everything, the show wouldn’t have been so successful!”
Committee member Randa Memo shared, “The teamwork and friendships we built working together was rewarding in itself, then seeing the fun and excitement from all the NS women made the event even more special.” Dianne Cahill, one of the models, summed up the sentiments of many: “A big thank you to Sue and Cynthia for organizing such a successful and beautifully run show. The energy from the crowd and support from fellow participants made the entire day so special. I am grateful to be part of such a kind, creative and encouraging group of women. It was truly a day to remember!”
