The book club will reading Anna Quindlen’s newest novel After Annie this month. “After Annie deals with a family’s life after the death of their wife/mother/best friend. Annie is brought to life over and over again when she is talked about and memories or photos are shared …” The story is also about “hope and the unexpected power of adversity to change us in profound and indelible ways.” We will find many topics to discuss in this book and perhaps tissues on hand might be a good idea!
Page Turner groups meet the fourth Monday and the fourth Thursday afternoons of the month. Because of the Memorial Day Holiday this month, the Monday group will meet on the third Monday afternoon. If you would like more information on the book club we welcome you to email any one of the coordinators, Lisa Buchner at lisabuchner47@gmail.com, Steve and Ann Morris at samwrsi@cox.net or me at fozimec@cox.net.
We are in the process of suggesting books that we will be reading next book club year (September–June). All members get to vote for their favorites with the winners being announced at our June joint meeting.
