Page Turners: June 2023

Our June Selection—This month finds all three groups reading The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. The following is a short description of the book:
“Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better?”
Bi-Annual Joint Meeting June 22—June is the final month of our Page Turners’ book club year. We resume our regular meetings in September with a brand new list of nine books. Each June we have one of our bi- annual joint meetings where all our groups socialize, discuss books, have a fun blind book exchange and, of course, enjoy homemade goodies. In addition, we learn the titles of the nine books that members have selected to read in the coming year. The twenty-one titles suggested are listed below. Watch this article next month to see the nine winners.
