Women’s Club Luncheon: March 9, 2023 at 12:00 in the Clubhouse

This month brings the first day of spring on March 20, the Spring Equinox, signaling warmer tem-peratures, blooming flowers, birds, bees and butterflies in our com- munity. We are also blessed with year-long California sunshine and the grand Pacific Ocean below our bluff, giving chances to enjoy the surf or walk along the beach with family and friends.
Please plan to join your Women’s Club friends on Thursday, March 9 for our monthly salad luncheon and special speaker, Caroline Swift with Sweet Caroline Travel Company. Caroline will share her passion for travel and present information on top travel trends and destinations, travel protection, and why using a travel advisor can be beneficial for those planning any type of vacation. Concierge Service at no cost (or stress) to you!
Last month’s Valentine Luncheon was sweetly decorated by Suzanne Enis with bright pink flowers and treats at each table. Speaker Cristin Cobb presented a fascinating talk about her walking journey on the Camino de Santiago from France to Spain. This is the traditional Pilgrimage route Christians and others have followed for hundreds of years, dating back to Medieval times. Cristin walked 500 miles in 38 days! Her amazing experiences took her from village to village, church to church, passing through famous points of interest such as Pamplona and the Rioja wine region with its Fuente del Vino de Irache (Foun- tain of Wine), and finishing in Santiago through the giant archway leading to the cathedral, complete with a grand bagpiper welcome. When asked why she decided to make this trip, Cristin said it had been a desire since college, a personal journey, and added, “You don’t know what you can do until you do it!” Whether it’s a spiritual experience, personal journey, or athletic challenge, walking the Camino is a milestone pathway many people over the world undertake as their modern-day pilgrimage.
Any Niguel Shores ladies interested in joining our gregarious group, please contact Judy Palladino at twopalls@yahoo.com or Kathy Zoch at kathy@ochomes.org or stop by the office for an application.
