Women’s Club Luncheon: January 11, 2018 at 12:00 in the Clubhouse

Our Holiday Party on December 14 opened with members, spouses and guests arriving at the stroke of 5:00 for this muchanticipated annual event. Entering the Clubhouse was like visiting a winter wonderland. The fragrant boughs of pine and fir trees, sparkling snowflakes, carved wooden deer and cheerful black and red “buffalo check” tablecloths set the mood for this joyous party with three tables of hearty appetizers, a wine bar, and enough desserts to satisfy every sweet tooth. Terry Link and Janelle Sommer and their committee members did a wonderful job of transforming the Clubhouse into a festive holiday setting!
Old friends and new chatted and filled their plates and glasses from the bountiful offerings brought by all of the Women’s Club members. Then the magical moment arrived when the Dana Hills Dickens Carolers strolled into the Clubhouse in their Victorian costumes and serenaded us with the rich harmonies of old fashioned Christmas Carols. What a fitting farewell to another beautiful year in our beloved community!
The Women’s Club will resume their monthly meetings on the second Thursday of each month, beginning January 11 when we will hear a special presentation about Alzheimer’s disease from Dr. Dung Trinh of Irvine Clinical Research.
Our coming calendar of events will include our February Sentimental Valentine Exchange, the Annual Home Tour, a Style Show, and our Traditional Tea, plus whatever else our President, Lydia Reese, decides to spring on us! Blessings to everyone in the New Year!
