Women’s Golf: May 2017 Update

The Niguel Shores lady golfers held their April outing a week before tax day and enjoyed the diversion of being out in the sunshine having some fun on the course! The Ranch (formerly known as Ben Brown’s 9-hole golf course in Laguna) was lush and green after the heavy rains this past winter, and the ladies were treated to a warm, summer-like day.
President Marlene Lynch announced the prize winners for the day: Team #1 – Irene, Catriona, Gail, and Val with a score of 34; and Team #2 – Judy, Marlene, and Terri close on their heels with a score of 35. Closest to the pin honors went to Catriona on hole #6 and to Marlene on hole #8. Judy and Catriona tied for longest drive on hole #9.
After golf, players were joined for lunch by Social Members Ceacy Johns and Chris Beaver. A special welcome was extended to Lee Sweeney as everyone was thrilled to have her back following health issues. After lunch, Chris was serenaded in honor of her April birthday!
Our next regularly scheduled golf day will be the second Monday of the month, May 8, at 9:00 a.m. All lady golfers regardless of skill are welcome and encouraged to join us by calling Judy Boitano at 949 661-9495 or 949-702-2679 (cell) be added to the roster.
