Women’s Golf: February Recap

The Niguel Shores lady golfers held their February outing the day before Valentine’s Day so there was lots of love in the air as they walked the 9-hole course and enjoyed the sunshine!
Two new golfers joined the ranks, Gail Rightmire and Catriona Sigsby, both of whom we are looking forward to having join in the monthly game!
It turned out to be such a great day for golf after having had several days of heavy rain. The Ranch (formerly known as Ben Brown’s 9-hole golf course in Laguna) was lush and green which will be nice for the deer who routinely stroll the fairways.
Irene McDonald announced the prize winners for the day: Val Mitchell and Catriona tied for low score; Val and Marlene Lynch tied for low putts; Catriona also had longest drive and closest to the pin on hole #8; and Val had closest to the pin on hole #6.
After golf, we were joined by Ceacy Johns for a nice lunch in the new restaurant along the 1st fairway at The Ranch! Our next regularly scheduled golf day will be the second
Monday of the month, March 13. All lady golfers regardless of skill are welcome and encouraged to join us by calling Pam Strayer at 949-499-4737 to be added to the roster.

A little golf humor:
Two golfers were sitting at the 19th hole discussing their games this year when one said to the other, My game is SO bad this year I had to have my ball retriever regripped!
