DP Library News: March 2017

The following is a list of programs and events for March 2017. All events held in the Community Room unless otherwise noted. Walk-in’s welcome. ADULTS, check out the new
class on writing below.
TODDER and PRESCHOOL:
Toddler Storytime. Tuesday, March 7, 14, 21, 28, 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. Join us for a special musical storytime. Your child will enjoy singing and making music. This event is for children of all ages accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
Stay and Play, Tuesday, March 7, 14, 21, 28, 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. This event is for children of all ages with a parent or caregiver.
Preschool Storytime, Tuesday March 7, 14, 21, 28, 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. This event are for children 3-5 years old with a parent or caregiver.
CHILDREN ALL AGES: The following events are for children of all ages with a parent or caregiver. Stories and a Snack Storytime, Saturday, March 18. 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Listen to fun stories all about hugs and kisses with Miss Maggie.
Princess Belle Storytime, Wednesday March 15, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Join Ms Kasey for a special afternoon storytime. There will be stories, songs and an activity after.
PJ Storytime with the Sunshine Readers, Monday, March 27, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Children of all ages with a parent. Wearing PJs is encouraged. A cookie and water is provided at the end.
Family Gaming, Thursday, March 30, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Compete in traditional board games, and learn new video games.
Lego Club, Wednesday, March 8, 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Join us for free Lego building time.
Drawing with Laura Seeley, Wednesday, March 22, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

CHILDREN SCHOOL AGES:
Read to a Dog, Wednesday, March 1, and Tuesday, March 21, 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. This event is for beginning readers and is held in the Children’s Area. These special therapy dogs love listening to stories. Come and make a dog happy. Craze 8’s Club, Thursday, March 2, 9, 16, 23, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. This class is for school age children, grades K-2. Enjoy different hands-on activities every month. Learn to draw with a local artist.

TWEEN, TEEN:
Teen Time, Monday, March 13, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Enjoy different hands-on activities every month. Each class focuses on a different aspect of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (S.T.E.A.M.).
Teen Advisory Board, Monday, March 6, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Teens 12-17, tell us what you want from the library. From books to events, we want to know.

ADULT:
Adult Coloring Club, Fridays, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Bring out your inner artist while surrounded by books and good company. All material provided.
Seaside Book Club, Monday, March 27, 10:30 to
11:30 a.m. Join us every 4th Monday of the month. For a

Foreign Film, Sunday, March 26, 3:00 to 4:45 p.m. A taxi driver living with his mother offers his services to a petty criminal in order to pay for his mother’s costly rehab treatment.
Computer Class, Tuesdays, March 7, 14, 21, 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Learn basic computer skills with a free, threepart, hands-on class.
Write On Writing Group, Tuesdays, March 7 and 21, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Writers of all levels and genres are invited to share, critique, and receive feedback on their work from this friendly, active group of local writers. For more information: writeongroup@outlook.com
