Women’s Golf: November 2016 Update

The Niguel Shores ladies held their golf outing on Monday, October 3 at The Ranch at Laguna Beach (formerly known as Ben Brown’s 9-hole course) in the beautiful canyon. It was a cozy group this month with only four golfers, in part due to the change of date in recognition of the Columbus Day holiday.
For those contemplating dusting off those clubs and joining our lady golfers, we meet on the 2nd Monday of each month for a 9 a.m. tee time – all levels welcome! After the game, the ladies gathered on the outdoor patio of the restaurant overlooking the course for a luncheon where social members Ceacy Johns and Joan Beyer joined in the fun.
The group confirmed the date of the Christmas Luncheon, which will be December 12 at The Fountains, and the cost will be $25.
Our golf winners of the day: Judy Boitano not only had closest to the pin on holes 6 & 8, but also had overall Low Score of 46; Marlene Lynch hammered a shot on hole 9 to win Longest Drive; and Claudia
Marek had a precision putter that day which earned her Low Putts with 19—congratulations!
The next game will be November 14.
Thanks to Irene McDonald for captaining the October match, and to Val Mitchell for taking the lead for the November match. Val can be reached at 949-582-8311 for questions and to confirm your attendance.

Under the category of NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE: In 2013, Oakland University Junior Kassandra Komma recorded not one but TWO hole-in-ones in the same round of golf! The odds? One in 64 million!
