Womens’ Club Annual Tea: June 9, 2016 at 12:00 noon in the Clubhouse

Women’s Club Annual Tea: June 9, 2016 at 12 noon Bring your loveliest teacup, and if you like, wear a pretty spring hat to our annual tea! This will take place on June 9th at 12:00 noon.
Delicious tea sandwiches, scones and pastries will be served. This will be a delightful, traditional affair, complete with glittering silver and tea pourers. This is the Board’s gift to its members.
In addition, we will have an informative presentation about the Niguel Shores Bluebird Nestbox Project. Ten birdhouses were installed in 2013 in trees throughout Niguel Shores. This year, we have five sets of bluebirds nesting in those houses. Jessina Peterson, a Niguel Shores resident, will be telling us the history of the project and the results. It is fascinating! There will also be a brief ceremony to install our officers for next year and a slide show of photographs taken by Maria Elena Banks of the members at this year’s programs.
Look for your email invitation to the Tea on Thursday, June 2nd. Please answer by noon on Sunday, June 5th.
This is a complimentary, free event for members. You don’t need to bring anything except your favorite teacup. Reservations, however, are a must! RSVP promptly to guarantee your seat so that we can plan our refreshment and seating needs. The usual $5 attendance fee for guests applies.
Dues: membership dues for 2016-2017 were due on June 1st, so, if you haven’t yet renewed and want to appear in next year’s Directory, bring your check for $10 made out to the Niguel Shores Women’s Club to the Tea or turn it in at the office. If you have a change of email, phone, or address, etc., please tell Membership when you pay your dues. For more information on joining the Women’s Club, please contact Marian Kennedy at rgkmek@yahoo.com or Gloria Weintraub at rdabook@cox.net.
Home Tour: Our Home Tour was a huge success. We had five beautiful homes on the tour, a lunch catered by Sundried Tomato, and a fabulous committee. We made $800 in profits, so were able to send donations to: the Dana Hills Jazz Choir, the Dana Point Symphony Orchestra, and the Pacific Marine Mammal Center. Each of these groups gave a presentation to the Women’s Club this year. It’s lovely to give them a bit of a reward!
