Women’s Golf: April 2016 Update

Because of all of the recent scary weather reports we met with fingers crossed. Seven brave souls appeared, and it actually was a fairly nice day. The sun was strong by lunchtime.
One of our groups even caught a glimpse of a lone deer munching away on low hanging tree limbs.
Back after several months were Joan Beyer, Ceacy Johns and India Rouse. They were all looking ready to play soon.
The game of the day was regular play. There was an April Fool’s Day surprise, which we would find out at the end of play. It was the total of scores on odd holes. Val Mitchell won with a score of 27. Consolation prizes were given to Liz Kelsch and Brenda Tuckley.

Joke: This may be a repeat, but it is so appropriate for this day: “If I’m on a golf course and lightning strikes, I get inside fast. If God wants to play through, let Him!”
