Women’s Club Luncheon – January 10, 2013 at 12:00 in the Clubhouse

Time for our first luncheon of 2013! We’re starting the New Year off with a serious subject that will be of value to all of us for this year and all the rest. Sheriff’s Deputy, Steve Hoffman, will speak to us about law enforcement issues in Dana Point that are of concern to senior citizens.

Deputy Hoffman is originally from Michigan, served as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps in Okinawa, the Persian Gulf and Africa. He has been for the last 19 years in the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and, the past 11, assigned to the city of Dana Point. He is the field training officer for new deputies when they come to this city. A recipient of three awards from MADD for DUI enforcement and a lifesaving medal, we are privileged to have this honored and experienced person as our guest speaker. Don’t miss it.

The date is Thursday, January 10 at 12:00 noon in the ClubHouse. Your invitations will arrive in your e-mail box on January 3 and you are asked to please reply by 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 6.

Just a recap: The Womens Club Holiday Party was a wonderful success with a bountiful table of hors d’oeuvres and sweets brought by members, and drinks graciously served by Men’s Club members. The tables were ornamented with the ingenious antler decorations designed and made by the talented Suzanne Enis. Thanks to all for their contributions to this delightful party.

Something to think about: This is the year for the Womens Club Home Tour and members have preference for reservations. Now is the time to join to insure a highly desirable reservation for this May event. A check for $10 left in the office for the Niguel Shores Womens Club will do it!
