Women’s Golf – November Update

In October, we had two foursomes who had a great day of golf. But, this means that there are that many or more Niguel Shores Women Golfers who were not there, to sign up for Fun Day in November. Val Mitchell, 582-8311, is Golf Captain. Her co-captain is Pam Strayer, 499-4743. They will be making up the foursomes for the day, a week to 10 days before Monday, November 12, and you need to let them know that you want to play. Please give them as much notice as possible. Call soon.

Two teams, made up of witches and ghosts and pumpkins and black hats, ended up thusly: Team #1 Marlene Lynch, Terri Matrisch, Christine Green, low gross prize.

Team #2 May Gramer, Lee Sweeney, Marge Foster, Irene McDonald, low net prize. The prizes for closest to the flagstick on #6 hole and #8 hole, and the prize for the longest drive on #9 hole were all given to Christine Green. She was really on her game. Since we award golf balls as prizes, Christine now has enough to not have to worry about going in the creek (holes #1, 6, 8 & 9) for several rounds of golf at Aliso Creek Golf Course. Irene McDonald and Christine Green also received golf balls for posting lowest putts and chip-ins on their score cards.

Save the date for the Christmas luncheon, following golf on December 10. Please bring your checkbook to November Fun Day. Joan Beyer and Ruth Stahl are in charge of the luncheon. They would like to have as many sign-ups, including checks, as possible. The cost will be in the $25 range.

The golfer’s diet: Live on greens as much as you can…
