The months of August, September and October have had a reduced golf outing schedule. Vacations during this time make it difficult to get the group together. We did have a good tournament at Arroyo Trabuco on September 25. The weather was perfect and all had a great time after a four week hiatus. The format for the tournament was Combined Net Foursome. 1st place went to the team of Jack Sweeney, Dennis Rosene, John Monson, and Bill Verbrugge. 2nd Place went to the team of Tom McNicholas, Peter Rask, Gary Katsuki, and Barry Daniel. Closest-to-the-Pin on #4 was Peter Rask and on # 11 Blair McDonald.
We have a tournament coming up on October 30 at Aliso Golf Club and another on November 27 at Arroyo Trabuco. We end the golf season on December 11 with our putting championship and breakfast at Talega Golf Course.
Thought for the day: The only thing of actual value that you can take from the driving range to the first tee is a pocketful of range balls.
