Alert: Niguel Shores Women’s Golf Fun Day will take place Monday April 16, not on the 2nd Monday of the month (the 16th is the third Monday). Mark your calendar. That being said, the ladies enjoyed a beautiful day of golf on the 2nd Monday in March, with special emphasis on holes 3, 1 and 7. The best combined team score on those holes, standing for 3/17, St. Patrick’s Day, won the mystery game of the day for the team of Judy Boitano, May Gramer, Anne Greenwood and Irene McDonald. Having low putts for the day and low gross score of the day seems to go together as it did, indeed, for Irene McDonald. The prize for low net score for the day went to a brand new member, Delores Smith-Young. The prize for the longest drive of the day, on hole #9, went to another brand new member, Rita Jones. As you can see, Niguel Shores Women’s Golf welcomes new members with open arms…and prizes! However, longtime members, May Gramer and Barbara McKlveen, won prizes for closest to the flagstick on holes #6 and #8 respectively.
